Our Story & Mission
Sacred Vibes Community Healing Initiative (SVCHI)
Cultural preservation. Community care. Knowledge sharing.
At Sacred Vibes Community Healing Initiative (SVCHI), we honor healing as a communal, cultural, and sacred act. We believe the wisdom of our ancestors is not lost—it lives in our bones, our plants, our stories, and each other. Our mission is to preserve that wisdom, share it freely, and root it in the everyday care of our communities.
SVCHI was born from a simple yet revolutionary truth: when we remember who we are and where we come from, we heal— together.
We are a BIPOC-led, intergenerational collective working at the intersection of ancestral medicine, spiritual wellness, and liberation. Through education, mutual aid, and economic empowerment, we tend the garden of cultural memory—nurturing the next generation of healers, herbalists, and community caregivers.
We believe that:
Cultural preservation is medicine
Knowledge sharing is ceremony
Community care is a birthright
These values aren’t just ideas—they live and breathe through our initiatives:
COMMUNITY EDUCATION & ACCESS
Reclaiming knowledge. Restoring connection. Rooting together.
The Spiritual Herbalism Conference (Annual - October)
Our flagship 3-day gathering brings together over 150 BIPOC herbalists, healers, and community leaders for deep learning and sacred exchange. Through workshops, panels, and ritual, we explore ancestral technologies, land reverence, and wellness rooted in liberation.
The Black Herbalist Convergence
This sacred space centers the brilliance, practices, and needs of Black herbalists. It’s a circle of collective healing and cultural preservation—a place to gather, grow, and ground in our lineages.
Sliding Scale Workshops & Classes
Throughout the year, we host accessible offerings in herbalism, ancestral medicine, and plant connection. We believe that learning should never be out of reach—and that passing on knowledge is a communal act of love.
Scholarship Fund for BIPOC Apprentices
Our scholarship fund removes financial barriers for BIPOC students to access herbal apprenticeships and educational programs. It's how we invest in a future where ancestral healing continues to thrive.
Herbal Business Incubator (Coming Soon)
In partnership with Mangrove Business Incubator
A holistic, culturally grounded program supporting BIPOC herbalists and plant-based product makers in launching or growing their businesses. With guidance on compliance, strategy, and soulful entrepreneurship, this is business as ceremony.
Together, these programs make education a form of empowerment—and knowledge sharing a form of collective care.
The Green Book of Black Herbalists
Inspired by the legacy of the original Green Book, this living, crowd-sourced directory uplifts Black herbalists, rootworkers, and plant medicine practitioners across the African diaspora. It’s both a tool for visibility and a love letter to our lineage—documenting the brilliance, resilience, and contributions of Black healers past and present. The Green Book is an act of cultural preservation, a map of connection, and a growing archive of who we are and where we root.
SACRED RAPID RESPONSE & MUTUAL AID
When the world shifts, we show up with plants, presence, and protection.
Herbal Aid Kits for Community Crisis
In moments of crisis—such as pandemics, climate events, and displacement—we distribute herbal first-aid kits and immune support rooted in ancestral plant medicine.
Free Herbal Care Clinics & Consultations
Healing should never be a luxury. Our clinics offer no-cost and sliding-scale consultations with trained herbalists, providing community-rooted care to those who need it most.
Seasonal Care Packages
During seasonal changes or times of high need, we distribute teas, immune blends, and herbal products. These bundles are love notes wrapped in wellness—gifts of nourishment, remembrance, and rest.
This is mutual aid grounded in tradition. We care for each other like our ancestors did—with what the earth gives and what our hearts know.
Why It Matters
Our work is about more than herbs. It’s about remembrance. It’s about relationship. It’s about returning home to the knowledge we were never meant to forget.
Every initiative we steward—every class, every kit, every circle—is an offering of cultural preservation, community care, and knowledge sharing.
When you support SVCHI, you’re not just giving. You’re protecting ancestral legacies. You’re growing future healers. You’re resourcing communities who deserve more than survival. You’re saying yes to a different kind of world—one where wellness is woven, not sold.
